Scrap the Girls January 2019 challenge - Vintage Girl

Tuesday, 15 January 2019

Hola, Howdy, Hey, Hello, Hiya!!

Its half way through January already. Whats with that? My husband brought home hot cross buns yesterday........I KNOW......CRAZY!!!

Anyhoo I have the first Scrap the Girls challenge of 2019 to share with ya'll.

I've had this Maggie Holmes - Willow Lane sequin flower in my stash for a while and have been DYING to use it. So I did. Yay.

I was inspired by the "I'm a vintage soul" image. I decided to scrap the fact that at 36 I'm actually considered vintage. I wonder when I'll be an antique?

Annnnnnnd thats all folks.

Thanks for stopping on by, much appreciated!

CSI Case File #267 - A Season of Joy

Monday, 3 December 2018

Hey there!

Today I've got my first Christmas layout of the season to share with you!
I was sooooooo flipping excited when I saw CSI case file #267 because I love EVERYTHING about Christmas.

I just had to scrap a pic of the very first Christmas ornament my husband and I bought together, a wind up nativity scene snow globe. I love getting it out every Christmas as its so special to us.

For the case I file I used all of the colours, except for bright olivey green which I didn't have in my stash, so I replaced it with a traditional green.

I incorporated as much as I could from the evidence list and ended up adding: Dios, grid pattern, Christmas elements, numbers, stars, animals, snowflakes, bow and string.

I also challenged my self to not use a water colour background, man was that hard!

Here is what I came up with:

Layers baby!

The fabulous challenge which you just have to try!! Trust me, CSI challenges are just so much fun, and are a super fab way to make a dent in your stash!

And there you have it!

I do hope you give the challenge a go.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Scrap The Boys November Challenge - Us Together

Thursday, 22 November 2018

Hola Lovelies!

Oh my goodness, I recently purchased the Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane collection from Sassy Scrappers and it is GORGEOUS!

The colour palette is to die for!

My first page using the collection was for the Scrap the Boys November challenge.

The challenge was all about scrapping yourself and the boy in your life.

So of course I scrapped a selfie of me and my honeybee, my son Elijah.

Here is what I came up with:

The ephemera and flower stencil, which I cut up, is so perfect for layering.

And of course the challenge:

I really appreciate you taking the time to visit my wee blog.

Lots of love!
